Cookie Policy – Maru + Bo trgovina d.o.o.
Version 2.0 – 11 September 2025
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how and why we use cookies and similar technologies on our website (the “Site”). It forms part of our Privacy Policy. For any terms not defined here, please refer to the Privacy Policy. We value your privacy, and you can adjust cookie settings at any time. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and manage stored cookies.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They enable core functionality, help us secure the Site, compile anonymous statistics and—only if you allow us—deliver personalised marketing. Cookies do not harm your device or change your settings. Depending on the type, cookies may disappear after closing the browser (session cookies) or remain stored for a longer period (persistent cookies).
3. Who uses cookies?
Cookies and similar technologies are used whenever you access our services via our online store or applications. They are stored on your device according to your settings and may be set both by Maru + Bo and by trusted third parties (Shopify, Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.).
4. Do cookies contain personal data?
The data stored in cookies does not, by itself, include information that directly identifies you, unless it is combined with other data you provided when registering or using our site.
5. Legal basis & consent mechanism
Under ZEKom-2 (Art. 225–227), storing and reading cookies on your device requires consent except for strictly necessary cookies. Further processing of personal data collected via cookies falls under GDPR. • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) – analytics and marketing cookies. • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) – strictly necessary cookies.
We use a Cookiebot© banner on first visit and whenever your consent status changes. Options: “Accept all”, “Reject non-essential”, “Cookie settings”. Non-essential cookies are disabled by default. You can change or withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
6. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies: enable core site functions and security (e.g., cookie_consent, shopify_session). Consent not required.
Preference cookies: remember your settings such as language or region.
Statistics cookies: collect anonymised analytics to help us improve the website (e.g., Google Analytics _ga).
Marketing cookies: used by partners (e.g., Facebook Pixel _fbp, Google Ads IDE) to deliver personalised ads.
We update our cookie table regularly. The live list is always available via the “Cookie settings” panel.
